My dad has an iPhone 5S that doesn't work well with his 2015 Fit (Specifically Google Maps).
He took his phone to the Genius Bar, and one of the "geniuses" politely told him to "consider a different car."
Just thought I'd share this.

That's Apple for ya.
Time to go Droid and run Cyanogenmod.

the Cyanogenmod custom OS is pretty amazing and fast. Give it a look when you do get a Droid.
I have a 5C for work and my Gs4 blows it away all around.

This is very common. Apple products don't play well with very many cars. Mercedes has probably issued at least 20-30 bulletins for Bluetooth and phone type issues, 99% basically blame Apple. Android stuff almost always works perfectly, even when Mercedes thinks that it may not or could have some issues (such as when the car is 5-6 years old and phone technology has greatly surpassed the car, thus rendering them 'incompatible').
